In 2022, the nation continued to emerge from pandemic restrictions, freeing up people to pursue other activities to which they were previously accustomed. This seemingly negatively affected the spike in boating interest which was confirmed by statistics showing a decline in boat sales and registrations for 2022.

The summer of 2022 also brought CWC-ACBS a new website. We made the switch to a Word-Press editor.

Mayfield Retreat and Cruise

The 2022 Mayfield Retreat and Cruise was a great success. 27 boats boats participated in the Cruise, with 7 of those staying for the week making sure the rumble and wake was heard at first and last light. As per usual many siestas were needed.

Oktober Fest 2022

Many grape were stomped at the unnamed winery. A short discussion ensued about merlot or burgundy stain for the next boat project, and what mustard shade would look best as an accent.

Seattle Hydroplane Museum

The Seattle Hydroplane Museum hosted an education event. Topics included how mount a rubber ducky to a boat that goes 198 miles per hour. Many thanks to 12 CWC-ACBS members that got up early to attend the event.
